Why is the Lublin Region ideal for a solar farm?

When we began planning our first solar farm, location was one of the key decisions. Poland has a temperate climate, but regional differences in solar irradiation are meaningful — which made the Lublin Region a natural choice.

How much sunlight does the region receive?

The Lublin Region records some of Poland's strongest solar conditions. Good irradiation directly increases the energy yield of a photovoltaic installation and improves its economics. The region compares favourably with areas of Europe where solar power has operated successfully for decades.

Why did we choose Liwcze?

Our family has owned land in Liwcze for generations. The site is open, largely flat and well exposed to the south, while its proximity to grid infrastructure made connection practical. Using our own land also gave the project a strong economic foundation.

More than sunlight

The region combines suitable land, local road access and municipalities that understand the benefits of renewable energy. Solar farms generate stable local tax revenue while supporting Polish and European climate goals.

Does Poland's climate work for solar power?

Yes. Photovoltaic modules need light rather than heat and can perform very well on cool, clear days. Long spring and summer days provide strong production, while lower temperatures can improve module efficiency.

Conclusion

Land, irradiation and infrastructure made Liwcze the right location for us. These same factors should be assessed carefully for every proposed PV project.
